A Quran
Hifdh Competition was organized by The Union of Madrassah in Dodoma (UMADO)
in the month of July 2005, in Dodoma, Tanzania.
A total of
75 students from 37 Madrassahs in Dodoma who participated in the
competition, were required to memorize the last two parts (29 and 30
Juzu) of the Holy Quran.
The
competition was held in two stages. In the first stage 21 best reciters
were selected. The second stage of the competition was held between
these 21 best selected winners to choose 6 winners; three from male and
three from female students.
Every
student was required to recite by memorization not less than 100 lines
randomly selected by the judges from 10 different areas from the two
last parts of the Quran.
The first
winner among the boys was given a bicycle, while the first winner among
the girls was given a sewing machine. The second and third prize winners
were given a cash amount of T.Shs. 20,000/- and T.Shs. 10,000/-
respectively.
The 3
winners among the boys were as follows:
1.
Yasin Sasya Madrassat Irshad.
2.
Malik Ramadhani Madrassat Al-Qadiriyyah.
3.
Awadh Rashid Madrassat Sunni Nunge.
The 3
winners among the girls were as follows:
1.
Rukayya Ali Madrassat Marwa A.
2.
Amina Waziri Madrassat Zahrau Bondeni.
3.
Zuhura Abdulrahman Madrassat Al-Qadiriyyah.
We
congratulate the winners and all the participants and pray for their
success in this world and the Hereafter for their noble efforts of
memorizing the Quran.
The second
Quran Hifdh competition shall be held in the month of December 1005,
Insha Allah whereby the participants will be required to memorise the
last four parts (27-30 Juzu) of Holy Quran.

The male first winner received a bicycle while the female winner
received a sewing machine.

The Judges of the Competition had very hard time to select the winners
as all the participants did extremely well in memorizing the suras. All the participants received token prizes such as Mashaf,
Certificates plus some cash prize. The Chairman of UMADO thanking the participants and their Madrassah
teachers for their marvelous efforts.
Dar-ul-Muslimeen Students sang Qaseedah while the
participants received their gifts.
