ADMISSION GUIDELINES
- Al-Qaem Seminary is an Islamic Secondary School run under the
auspices of the Registered Trustees of Dar-ul-Muslimeen, registered in
Tanzania as a charitable and Islamic religious organisation.
- The Seminary provides Ordinary Level (O - level) Secondary School
Education Course for four years - Form I to Form IV - based on the
Tanzanian National Syllabus as prepared by the Tanzanian Institute of
Education under the Ministry of Education.
- At the completion of the four year Secondary School Education course
i.e. Form IV, students are required to sit for the Ordinary level -
"Certificate for Secondary School EXAMS (CSSE)" as prepared by the
National Examination Council of Tanzania.
- It is compulsary for all the successful applicants to learn Quranic
Studies and all the Islamic Subjects taught in the Seminary and sit in
all the religious exams accordingly.
- All the students should strictly abide by the Islamic laws as
required by the Islamic Shariah and abhor all non-Islamic values opposed
by the Shariah.
- The morality and conduct of the student is the most necessary
condition for the continuation of the studies. Any student found with
immoral behaviour would be immediately disqualified.
- Each class will have maximum number of 40 pupils and late applicants
will be put in the waiting list.
- The Academic year starts from January and ends at December. The year
is divided into two major terms with two mid-terms, whereby the students
shall get two short and two long holidays per year. The details are
found in the School Calendar.
- The syllabus taught include all the subjects as recommended by the
Tanzanian National Syllabus for the Ordinary Certificate Level of
Secondary School Education course.
- Every year, pupils will be given four exams in all subjects to
evaluate their progress; and reports of their achievement will be
presented to the parents. Pupils failing to achieve required passing
grades in the Annual exams will not be promoted to higher class.
- At the end of the four years Secondary School Education Course, a
School Leaving Certificate will be granted to the successful graduants
to enable them achieve admission at Advanced level Secondary Schools.
- Applications of the qualified students shall be served on
first-come-first basis, without prejudice to racial, national or
religious discrimination.
- Non-Muslims students are welcome to apply for admission to the
Seminary, provided they show aptitude of learning Islamic subjects
taught and respect all the policies of the Islamic Seminary.
ENTRY CONDITIONS
- The Admission form must be attached with the Birth Certificate,
Primary School Leaving Certificate, and three passport size photographs
of the pupil.
- The Administration has the final authority to accept or reject the
application of any applicant, and no reason whatsoever would be given on
rejection of any applicant.
- The Head of the School has the authority to undertake any suitable
disciplinary measures to enforce discipline of the pupil and to
establish conducive environment for learning activities.
- Application forms are sold at T.Sh. 1000/- and all details
should be filled correctly.
- After processing the application, the applicant student will be
called for Entry Exam to test his/her ability to join the Seminary.
- Students called for Entry exams will be required to pay an Exam fees
of T.Shs. 3000/-.
- On obtaining admission, the applicant is required to pay an Entrance
fees of T.Shs. 20,000/-, and annual fees of T.Shs. 180,000/- in two
terms installments of T.Shs. 90,000/-
- The Term fees should be paid in the first week of every term.
Failure to do so will result into the suspension of the pupil from
attending the classes, and his place given to the pupil in the waiting
list.
- Any School fees already paid will not be returned in any
circumstances.
- The Entrance fees and the School Education fees do not include
Uniform, Stationeries, Text books and/or Exam fees required for the
Course.
- Please demand receipt for every payment made.
- The Seminary has specially designed uniform for both boys and girls,
and all pupils are required to wear the uniform in all Seminary related
activities.
- Clean and presentable uniform and personal hygiene is important
condition for the entrance of the pupil in the School. Unclean and
shabby appearance of the pupil will result into his/her suspension for
that particular day.
- The head of the Seminary has the authority to suspend or expel any
pupil who failed to comply with the School rules and regulations, after
issuing warning letter.
- The School has the right to change the Fees, Uniform and any other
rules and regulations of the School with one month notice to the pupils
and their parents.
