Hussein Day Seminar is held every Muharram
for two days for the students of Secondary Schools (TAMSA) in Dodoma City,
to create awareness among the students about the historical facts behing
Karbala.
Different topics are presented by renowned
Scholars and Questions/Answers session is held after every presentation.
Examples of Questions asked by some students are: How come a corrupt ruler like Yazid came to power? Why Mu'awiya and Bibi Ayesha fought with Imam Ali
(as)? Why were Ahlulbayt oppressed after the demise of the Prophet (saww)?
Why Sunnis do not commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (as) in
Karbala? etc.
The students are apparently satisfied
with the knowledge they got during the two days program and normally lament
that their Sunni leaders deprive them of such important historic
knowledge.
